This FundingTraders review looks at a fast-growing forex prop firm launched in 2023 that has built its brand on high profit splits, quick payouts and heavy promotion. Our verdict: FundingTraders gives traders plenty of choice, with 1-step, 2-step and instant accounts, default splits of 80–90% and the option to buy 100%. The rule set is busier than most, though, with per-trade risk caps, consistency scores and news restrictions that vary by account. Read the rules for your exact product before you buy, and remember that most traders fail evaluations, so the fee is a cost.

Challenge types and pricing
FundingTraders sells three account types. 2-Step Pro is a classic two-phase evaluation. 1-Step Pro has a single 10% target but a tighter daily loss. Instant Funding skips the evaluation, with sizes up to $400K. The table shows list prices before any discount code:
| Account | 2-Step | 1-Step | Instant |
|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $90 | – | – |
| $10,000 | $150 | $109 | $179 |
| $25,000 | $290 | $229 | $319 |
| $50,000 | $430 | $329 | $479 |
| $100,000 | $750 | $589 | $749 |
| $200,000 | $1,250 | $999 | $1,349 |
| $400,000 | – | – | $2,349 |
The site almost always shows a 50% promotional price, and paid add-ons change the split, payout speed and commissions. Check current terms at checkout rather than relying on the headline numbers. Resets are offered at a discount after a failed attempt, and a free $1,000 tryout account is available.
Trading rules
Drawdown and risk limits
The 2-Step allows a 5% daily loss and 10% maximum loss, with targets of 10% then 5%. The 1-Step keeps the 10% maximum loss but cuts the daily limit to 3%. Both require at least four trading days. The official site does not clearly state whether the maximum loss is static or trailing, so confirm this in the terms. Once funded on the 2-Step, you may not risk more than 2% per trade, a rule that third-party reviews link to many breach complaints.
Consistency
Consistency rules differ by product: none on 2-Step funded accounts, 50% on 1-Step Pro (your largest day may not exceed half of total profit) and 15% on Instant Funding. Exceeding the score does not breach the account but delays payout eligibility. Instant accounts also carry a 3% profit safety cushion that cannot be withdrawn.
News, weekends and EAs
- News trading is unrestricted in the challenge. On funded evaluation accounts, no opening or closing within 2 minutes of high-impact news, and no more than 30% of profit from news-driven trades.
- On Instant accounts, trading around high-impact news is a hard breach unless you buy the News Holding add-on.
- Weekend holding is now allowed on Instant Funding; the firm warns of gap and swap risk.
- EAs are supported on MT5. Copying your own accounts manually is allowed; copying other traders is banned.
Profit split, payouts and scaling
Default splits are 80% on 2-Step Pro and 90% on 1-Step Pro and Instant, with add-ons up to 100%. Pro accounts pay every 21 days by default, or 14 days with an add-on; Instant Funding moved to a 7-day cycle in June 2026, with an on-demand add-on. Withdrawals go by USDT crypto (minimum $50) or bank transfer through Rise (minimum $200). FundingTraders advertises payouts in 24–48 hours and a “Reward Protection” guarantee if it misses its window.
The evaluation fee comes back as a refund bonus on a qualifying payout; for accounts bought after 8 May 2026 that is the second payout, not the first. Newer features let you convert a payout into a discounted challenge or into FT Points. We did not find a formal scaling plan on the official site.
Platforms and instruments
Trading runs on MetaTrader 5 and TradeLocker (web and mobile). MT5 is not offered to US residents. Commissions are $3 per lot round trip on Pro accounts and $6 on Instant, with indices excluded and a paid Zero Fees add-on. Instruments cover forex, metals, indices and crypto. FundingTraders’ help centre lists up to 1:50 on forex majors for Instant Funding accounts bought before 8 October 2026, with 1:30 on minors and the Nasdaq, 1:20 on gold and 1:10 on Bitcoin. For challenge accounts, independent reviews cite up to 1:100 on forex, 1:50 on metals and indices and 1:5 on crypto, as of November 2026, so confirm the figure for your program before trading.
Company, trust and payout record
The footer names Funding Traders Group Ltd., a Saint Lucia company registered in 2025, and FT US Inc in Miami Beach, Florida. Older reviews described the firm as Hong Kong-based, so the structure has changed. FundingTraders is not regulated and does not disclose its broker or liquidity provider. It claims more than 53,000 funded accounts, but these figures are self-reported.
Third-party reviewers note complaints about breaches, mainly tied to the 2% per-trade rule, and say the firm answers them publicly. We found no reports of payouts being halted. In 2026 it reopened Poland, Ukraine, Morocco and Taiwan after earlier restrictions. The frequent rule changes, add-ons and promo codes are not red flags in themselves, but they make it essential to read the rules as of your purchase date.
Who it suits
- Traders who want a high default split and are willing to pay for add-ons.
- Those who prefer TradeLocker or MT5 and fast crypto withdrawals.
- Disciplined traders comfortable with a 2% per-trade cap.
In our FundingTraders review, the firm suits news traders, high-risk scalpers and anyone who wants simple, stable rules less well.
Final verdict on our FundingTraders review
FundingTraders is flexible and payout-friendly, with real choice between account types and splits up to 100%. Its rules vary by product, its pricing depends on constant promotions and add-ons, and its corporate structure is young and offshore. Pass rates at prop firms are low, so treat the fee as risk capital. Check the current rulebook on the official FundingTraders website before buying.
