This BrightFunded review examines a Dubai-registered prop firm with Dutch roots that has stood out since 2023 for two things: a scaling plan with no fixed ceiling and the Trade2Earn loyalty scheme, which rewards trading volume whether or not you pass. Our verdict: BrightFunded is a well-designed forex, CFD and crypto evaluation provider with fast payouts and no consistency rule, but its 2026 overhaul tightened the cheaper plans and some traders report discretionary risk decisions that are not in the written rules.
As always, treat the challenge fee as a cost: most traders fail evaluations, and no prop firm can promise you profit.

Challenge types and pricing
On 13 April 2026 the firm launched “BrightFunded 2.0″, replacing its single two-step challenge with three plans. Accounts bought before that date keep their original rules. All three plans come in six sizes from $5K to $200K, with no time limit, though you must place at least one trade every 30 days.
| Plan | Targets | Daily loss | Max loss | Min days |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1-Step | 10% | 3% | 6% trailing | 5 |
| 2-Step Bright | 8% / 5% | 4% | 8% static | 5 per phase |
| 2-Step Classic | 10% / 5% | 5% | 10% static | 5 per phase |
Pricing is set in euros. Mid-2026 list prices for the 2-Step Classic were about €49 for $5K, €95 for $10K, €195 for $25K, €295 for $50K, €497 for $100K and €975 for $200K. The 1-Step and 2-Step Bright are a little cheaper. Paid add-ons can remove the five-day minimum, lift the split to 90%, switch to weekly payouts or make the account swap-free. The base fee, not the add-ons, is refunded with your first funded payout. A free $1K demo challenge is also offered.
Trading rules
Drawdown
The two-step plans use a static maximum loss, measured from the starting balance, which is easier to manage than the trailing limit on the 1-Step. For accounts opened after 22 September 2025, the daily loss limit is a fixed dollar amount based on the original account size, reset at the daily rollover (late evening, Central European Time) from the higher of balance or equity.
News, weekends, EAs and consistency
- News: unrestricted in evaluation; on funded accounts no new trades in the five minutes before or after high-impact releases.
- Weekend holding: allowed on all plans.
- EAs: permitted on MT5, cTrader and DXtrade within normal risk rules.
- Consistency rule: none, and stop-losses are not mandatory.
- Prohibited: arbitrage and hedging across accounts or firms; copy trading only between your own accounts.
One caution: some funded traders report being held to an unwritten risk cap of around 1% per day, and at least one large account was closed for “high risk”. Treat that as a sign that the firm keeps discretion beyond the written rules.
Profit split, payouts and scaling
Funded accounts start with an 80% split. The first payout is available seven days after your first funded trade, then every 14 days, or every seven with the add-on. BrightFunded promises processing within 24 hours, and independent reports put typical USDC withdrawals at a few hours. Payouts go out in USDC or by euro bank transfer; there is no US dollar wire. A 15% reward on profits made during the evaluation can also be credited to your funded balance if you meet its conditions.
Scaling is reviewed every four months. If you make at least 10% over the period, are profitable in two of the four months, take at least two payouts and stay at or above breakeven, the account grows by 30% of its original size. The split moves to 90% after the first scale-up and 100% after the third. There is no limit on the number of scale-ups, although total funded capital per trader was reported as capped at $400K.
Trade2Earn
Every lot traded earns tokens that can be swapped for perks such as free challenges, higher splits or extra drawdown room. It softens the cost of failing, but it should not be a reason to overtrade.
Platforms and instruments
BrightFunded runs on cTrader, DXtrade and, since September 2025, MT5 (not available to US or UAE residents, who use DXtrade). Over 150 instruments cover forex, indices, commodities and more than 35 crypto pairs; stocks and futures are not offered. Forex commission is about $3 per lot per side, with leverage up to 1:100 on forex and lower on gold, indices and crypto.
Company, trust and payout record
The operating company is Bright Global FZCO in the UAE, led by CEO Jelle Dijkstra, with offices in Amsterdam and Warsaw. It is not a regulated broker, and its execution provider is not named. BrightFunded claims to have paid out more than $13 million, though one tracker reportedly found lower verified totals. Trustpilot scores have ranged from about 4.3 to 4.6, but Trustpilot added a guidelines notice in May 2026, and some reviewers say negative feedback was flagged. Complaints focus on spread widening at rollover, hedging breaches and a disputed evaluation reward. We found no evidence of a shutdown or stopped payouts.
Who BrightFunded suits
- Patient traders who want long-term scaling to a 100% split.
- Crypto CFD traders who prefer cTrader.
- Traders who dislike consistency rules.
- Active traders who can benefit from Trade2Earn rewards.
It is less suited to news scalpers on funded accounts or traders who want US dollar bank payouts.
Final verdict
Our BrightFunded review finds a thoughtful firm with fair static drawdown on its two-step plans, quick payouts and a scaling path few rivals match. Weigh that against the 2026 rule changes, discretionary risk reviews and a mixed review-moderation record. Check the current terms on the official BrightFunded website before you buy.
